(Almost) antique Art Deco ring (c. 1930s) with beautifully engraved details and a platinum top for a two-tone effect. Set with a sparkly, transitional-cut diamond, the cut bridging the old European cut and the modern round brilliant which was standardized in the 1950s. Like old European cuts, these diamonds were still cut by hand and each diamond is one-of-a-kind, sparkling with a unique brilliance different from computerized modern cuts. 2.8 mm diamond, SI, approx. 0.08 carats.

Delicate milgrain details surround the diamond, and leafy engravings extend down the shoulders-- the attention to detail this ring was made with is just amazing and so hard to find today. A gorgeous, wearable piece of history.

Marked and tested 14k, with platinum top. In good vintage condition.

Size: 5.25. See our chart for how to measure your finger! Resizable.

All jewelry is thoroughly cleaned before being sent to customers.

FAQs

What is gold karat level?

You'll see in all our descriptions a number and then "k" (ex. 14k, 17k, 12k). This indicates the purity level of the gold in the piece, which is the ratio of other metals to gold in the piece. Pure gold, which is not often used in jewelry because it is softer, is 24k. 14k (which is the most common in the U.S.) is 14 parts gold to 10 parts other metals, making up a total of 24 parts. The purity level is also sometimes conveyed as a percentage (ex. 375, 585, 750).

What does estate/vintage/antique mean?

Vintage refers to pieces that are over 20 years old, while antique refers to pieces over 100 years old. We use "estate" to refer to pre-owned pieces that are less than 20 years old or ones we can't determine an exact age for. Vintage and antique pieces can have imperfections or scratches from being owned and worn before. We do our best to document and make clear any imperfections in our photos and listings, and please ask questions before purchasing if there's anything you are unsure about! Product colors may slightly vary due to photographic lighting sources or your monitor settings, and all measurements are approximate.
