Beautiful antique heart made of carved malachite framed in 14k gold. Initials on the front are "MC" or "CM", also in 14k gold, and the back is plain-- pendant can be worn showing either side! The malachite is mainly a darker green color, with bands of lighter green throughout in the characteristic swirly, abstract pattern. The gold also has a slightly rosy color, typical of older pieces made with different alloys of gold than modern pieces that have gained the antique patina over time. A gorgeous piece that definitely makes a statement. Malachite is said to protect the wearer from negative energies and help heal emotional pain.

Tested 14k, unmarked. In good condition with expected wear for age (over 100 years old!)-- some wear to details on initials.
