This unique necklace is made from an antique Art Deco tie tack that was converted into a pendant! Tie pins of various kinds were very popular in men's fashion, originally introduced in the Victorian Era to prevent men's ties from flying in the wind, and featured precious metals and stones.

The pendant is bezel set with a natural grey star sapphire cabochon. Star sapphires display a rare optical phenomenon known as asterism, which comes from tiny, needle-shaped inclusions of rutile. We love the combination of geometric shapes on this pendant, subtle texture, and the magical star sapphire effect!
