French art nouveau repoussé locket depicting a young woman with arrows on the front likely the goddess Diana or Artemis, and flowers on the reverse. Slides open to reveal two spaces to store photographs with covers, original photographs still present. The side of the locket is engraved with a date, 13 - 6 - 98 (1898). 

Marked "EV" for Émile Séraphin Vernier (1852 – 1927), a French metalsmith and engraver, officer of the Legion of Honor. 

French eagle hallmark, tested 18k gold. In good condition.
