Beautiful antique ring with a buff-top rose de france natural amethyst as the center stone-- cut like a cabochon on top with a faceted pavilion. The unusual cut shows off the delicate, light lavender shade of the amethyst, while giving an alluring, eye-catching depth to the stone. In a simple but lovely setting with a split shank and scroll side details. Solid 14k gold with a rosy hue that is characteristic of old gold.
