Description
Bold and beautiful retro 1940s tank ring, a chunky style with geometric lines inspired by the shape of armored tanks during the 1st and 2nd world wars. This beautiful example is crafted in pink gold with a contrasting white gold top that shows off the chunky old mine cut natural diamonds, with a line of channel-set carré cut lab-created rubies in the center.
The largest old mine cut diamond is approximately 0.65 carats, total diamond weight approx. 1.7 carats. Diamonds are of natural origin, rubies are lab-created. An innovation of the late 1800s, lab-grown rubies and sapphires became extremely popular during the Art Deco era, ensuring color-matched clean stones as jewelers experimented with custom calibrated cuts. Ring measures 16.3 - 12.9 mm wide at front.
