Description
Antique art nouveau era floral brooch. Each piece of agate is translucent, with a stripe of orange down the center, carefully hand-carved to emulate real flower petals. The center of the brooch is set with an oval-cut blue sapphire, glowing beautifully in contrast with the orange. A small old mine cut diamond is set in between each petal, little touches of sparkle that complete the piece. Center sapphire is approx. 0.7 cts, natural.
A beautiful example of the craftsmanship of the Art Nouveau era: a rejection of the industrialization and mass production of the late 1800s.
Unmarked, tested 14k gold. In good condition.
