Pendant converted from a pair of antique cufflinks made in the Art Nouveau era, using all 14k components. It depicts the profile of a cat holding a pinkish ruby in its mouth, with a fierce, determined look on its face. Absolutely gorgeous detail throughout the entire pendant, with almost nothing lost to wear and time. The cat's profile blends into a spiral of scallops, spiraling out to the border of the pendant. Ruby is natural, unheated and untreated, likely of Burmese origin, and old European cut with charmingly chunky facets and a culet at the bottom.

Signed by Carter Gough & Co, estimated from 1910s.

Marked and tested 14k- marks pictured are from a section that was cut off when converting to a pendant. In good antique condition.
