A dainty pendant with a cluster of seed pearls around a small ruby in the center and a surrounding motif in Victorian Etruscan Revival style. As archaeological excavations revealed jewelry from civilizations past, people were inspired to create jewelry in those styles, and for this piece, Victorians took inspiration from the jewelry of the Etruscan civilization of ancient Italy. Originally a brooch, converted into a pendant using 14k gold components.
15k gold marked and tested, bail is 14k. In good antique condition, brooch has a small hole on back where the pin was removed.
