Vintage Baroque Pearl Ring 14k Sz 7 3/4

A unique vintage ring with a rectangular cultured baroque pearl in the center, wrapped in 14k gold tentacle-like forms. Some of the tentacles have a lovely organic texture, while others are in smooth polished gold, curling around the pearl and fusing it into the gold in a Modernist style-- influenced and inspired by the natural environment, in an abstract, restrained way. This piece strikes just the right balance of different textures: the luminous pearl with irregular shape and ridges, smooth polished gold, and knobby bumpy gold. This sculptural ring is a piece of wearable art.

Marked and tested 14k. In very good condition.
